Over the past week, a lot has been said about the opening of the first official Xiaomi store not only in Spain, but throughout Europe, being the first country outside of Chinese territory, where Xiaomi opens its own store and where it puts selling their smartphones, as well as different products that they have nothing to do with telephony.
Last week, my colleague Francisco published a review of the Xiaomi Mi A1, a terminal that offers us a Fantastic quality and specs for just € 229, becoming the best option available on the market in the price range between 200 and 300 euros. But it seems that Xiaomi has an ace up its sleeve.
Apparently the Chinese firm plans to offer a new device at an even more competitive price, a price that would reach 199 euros, that is, 30 euros than the current model that is available in the official Xiaomi store as well as in Amazon, Carrefour centers… The trick is found in reducing the storage space that instead of being 64GB it would be 32GB. For many users, who only use WhatsApp and Facebook on their devices, this space is more than enough, since the subject of photos and videos is completely secondary.
The rest of the specifications would be the same as the 64 GB model, the processor being a Snapdragon 625 accompanied by 4 GB of RAM, 3.080 mAh battery, double rear camera, Android Nougat 7.12 and a 5,5-inch screen with Full resolution HD. This new device would come hand in hand with a new color to complete the range currently available. This color would be red, un red very similar to the one we can currently find in Apple products (RED). A portion of Apple's (RED) products go to countries where AIDS continues to be a disease with a high mortality rate.
I doubt very much that Xiaomi's strategy is the same, but once again it is confirmed that the Chinese company continues to have Apple as its direct inspiration. At the moment we do not know when Xiaomi plans to launch this model with less capacity in Spain, but if currently the 64 GB model is sold out in all available colors, there will be a lot of running when it launches this new color with the new storage capacity reduced to only 32 GB.
This red model, It has been available in China since last November 1 and the image that heads this article corresponds to that specific model, but its Chinese variant that is called Mi 5X.
