The Asian manufacturer Vivo has announced a new device of the S series, a terminal oriented to the high-end and whose objective is to take a step to establish itself in China. Vivo S9 arrives after some leaks, including its design and some of its specifications now confirmed.
Vivo S9 implements a design that is very reminiscent of the Vivo S8Therefore, it will continue to mark an upward trend, all after selling more than five million units of the S8 model. The quality leap is in the internal hardware, the bet is to continue trusting MediaTek when mounting its CPUs.
Vivo S9, a high-end with 5G connectivity
The Vivo S9 stage presentation showed the 6,44-inch AMOLED-type front panel with Full HD + resolution, the refresh rate is 90 Hz and 180 Hz touch sampling. The front screen frame occupies 93%, the upper notch is a notch that houses up to two sensors.
The brain of the S9 is a Dimensity 1100 from MediaTek, the GPU is Mali-G77 MC9, RAM memory will be variable between 8 and 12 GB LPDDR4x, while in storage there are also two options: 128 and 256 GB UFS 3.2. It remains to be seen whether or not it comes with a MicroSD slot, while it lacks a headphone jack.
The rear cameras are three, the main one is 64 megapixels, the second is an 8 megapixel wide angle and the third is a 2 megapixel macro. On the front there are two lenses, the main one is 44 megapixels, the secondary one is an 8 megapixel wide angle.
High capacity battery
The battery chosen for the Vivo S9 is 4.000 mAh, says the manufacturer, it will be enough to feed it all day, lasting a full day with normal use, while in games it reaches 9 hours. It is replaceable by the manufacturer, since it has to be removed from the front.
The fast charge is 33W, the charger comes in the box with a USB-C to transfer data also on PC and its connection on other devices. In addition, the S9 also accepts headphones through the USB-C port. and via Bluetooth, both options are valid for use.
Connectivity and operating system
You have a 5G modem, Dimensity 1100 is supported separately by Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC and USB-C as a port for your charging and headphones. The fingerprint reader comes under the screen, it is configurable once you start the phone, you can also put the lock through a code.
The software is Android 11, It comes with the latest updates for the month of February, to which it adds a lot of applications by the Vivo company. The custom layer is OriginOS 1.0, it promises many important features, as well as being fast and having many configuration options.

Availability and price
El Vivo S9 is already in reserve in China in three options different colors, in multicolored, pearl and dark blue. The 8/128 GB model costs CNY 2,999 (384 euros), the 12/256 GB model increases to CNY 3,299 (about 423 euros at the change). Its availability in other territories is not known.
