Just yesterday we learned thanks to a leak that the Honor Magic would be presented as a terminal in which all sides they are curved to the edge. If the Galaxy S6 and S7 edge have been characterized by the curved right and left sides, in the Honor Magic they will also be in the lower or upper one to give it a very interesting curved appearance and that will project other sensations to the user who has it in hand as the one who sees it.
The Honor Magic has just been presented in China, Huawei's commitment to combat all those expectations that Xiaomi has launched with its Mi MIX. This phone is characterized by being based on four curves, one for each side of the device, so if you have had a Galaxy S7 edge in hand, you can already have a better idea what it will mean to have it in your possession. It will also give other sensations in the design, something that big brands are looking for like crazy.
This phone does have curves
Apart from looking to make it more ergonomic when you have it in hand, the real intention is stand out from the competition with a concept that can give wings to other devices that will bring those four curved sides to the general public.
So, if Xiaomi had left us enthralled by its Mi MIX without bezels, this Honor Magic seems that goes the same way, although more for the design aspect than for what it would be a phone that looks more like a screen like Xiaomi.
Among the characteristics that have appeared since the event in China, it seems that it has face detector so that you turn on the terminal simply by looking at the screen. This functionality may be one of those that were said yesterday, since apart from what is the design, it was also commented that this phone would present unique novelties in the software.
Speaking of its specs
Already having in hand the specifications of the phone and after being surprised by that design with four curved sides, we can say that it has a 5,1-inch screen with AMOLED panel and QuadHD resolution. This means that it has a pixel density of 577pp which is not bad at all and that it places it as a smartphone that also does very well in the specifications.
By having those curved sides, the bezels are also minimized in extension, so we are facing another that offers very satisfactory sensations, although yes, let's forget about being before something similar to Xiaomi Mi MIX.
But where we find another of the strengths of this device is in the cameras, since it contains up to four. The first two go to dual configuration at the rear, so Honor leaves nothing in the pipeline and you want to have a phone that is not just a special screen. The other two remaining, are for the front and those selfies that will have a secondary lens to take other different photos. The rear camera has two 12 MP lenses with f / 2.2 aperture, while the front ones stay with 8 MP and f / 2.0 aperture.
We are left with the part of the CPU, RAM and storage that is left in a Kirin 950 octa-core at 2,3GHz, 4GB and 64 GB respectively. We define the terminal with the battery that reaches 2.900 mAh. Not bad for a phone that has a 5,1-inch screen, so presumably it will be able to get through the day without a hitch. The dimensions are: 146,1 x 69,9 x 7,8, and its weight is 145 grams. It has a fingerprint sensor, Dual SIM, Bluetooth 4.2 and those details that complete a phone that at a first impression looks quite nice.
We can almost say that it is the most curvy phone that we have never known and that joins the trend of those without bezels, of the edge and those new terminals that we will see throughout 2017. Yes, Westworld is here with usMaybe we're all hosts and haven't even noticed?
