OnePlus is expected to launch the flagship phone OnePlus 8T this coming October 14, a date that is less than a month away. Before that day arrives, the Chinese company has been revealing and hinting at some of the characteristics and technical specifications of this device, which is why we already have a fairly approximate idea of what we will be getting with it.
The CEO of OnePlus, which is Pete Lau, recently shared some of the details of the OnePlus 8T screen, highlighting that it will be 120 Hz, among other things. Now rumors arise that the terminal will be the one that equips the company's fastest charging technology, and this seems to be confirmed in the new trailers released by the company.
A dual cell battery is what the OnePlus 8T would have
The official home page of the OnePlus 8T shows a very interesting graphical representation, which is of two batteries that are charged simultaneously. After this reaches 100%, a button appears that says "Check it out", which when clicked shows an AR aspect of the guts of the phone, including the dual batteries. It is recommended to view the landing page on a mobile device to see the content in action.
It looks like the OnePlus 8T will offer a dual cell battery configuration similar to that found in the OPPO Find X2 series, which has a pair of 2,130 mAh cells. OPPO's 2.0W SuperVOOC 65 charging technology charges both cells simultaneously. So the Find X2 or Find X2 Pro can be fully charged in about 38 minutes, one of the best charging times ever achieved with such technology.
So far, recent OnePlus flagships offer 30T Warp Charge technology as its maximum exponent. The inclusion of a dual-cell setup on the OnePlus 8T suggests that it may arrive with faster, even double, charging capabilities. While OnePlus hasn't explicitly mentioned it, it seems like The OnePlus 8T will be the company's first smartphone to arrive with 65W or 65T Warp Charge technology. This is something that excites us, as it would be a huge leap in the brand.
As for the rest of the specifications of the OnePlus 8T, it is expected to arrive with a Super AMOLED technology screen with 120 Hz refresh rate and 6.5-inch FullHD + resolution with a perforated design. In addition, its battery would be 4.500 mAh capacity and the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform would be present under its hood as responsible for all the power and performance that the high-performance device will be able to offer.
While this has not been confirmed yet, it is said that the smartphone may come with other specifications such as a 16-megapixel front camera, a 48-megapixel + 16-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 5-megapixel (macro) + 5 quad-camera system. or 2 megapixels (monochrome) and with the Android 11 operating system pre-installed from the factory. It would also arrive in just two color versions, which would be aquamarine green and lunar silver.
On the other hand, the RAM memory with which it would be debuting in the market would start at 8 GB, while the internal storage space would start from 128 GB to 256 GB. Another feature that we expect in this mobile is the water resistance that we find in the OnePlus 8 Pro and that is also present in the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus Nor, although not officially, it is worth noting.
The design of the new flagship would be no different than what we see in the current OnePlus 8 series. However, the screen would be flat and not curved, which will make more than one happy, since curved panels have been frowned upon for not representing a significant advantage and not being so practical on a day-to-day basis, although it is true that at the level aesthetic make mobiles turn out to be more premium.
