With Android 7.1 Nougat they have arrived shortcuts from the application icon that has also been brought to Android Marshmallow, thanks to those third-party developers who have the most popular launchers under their belt. This feature allows showing several shortcuts to the search or the composition of a tweet, if we take Twitter as an example.
Samsung would be prepared to bring this feature to its Galaxy S8, but with the great advantage that would be in the hardware, as with the same option on Apple iPhones. There are already several manufacturers that have this functionality, as with Huawei itself, which has several terminals on the market that use it.
According to an anonymous source, Samsung would be determined to adopt Force Touch technology partially on the S8. It would be in a couple of years when I would fully integrate it. It is the same source that states that more smartphone manufacturers will be encouraged to bring this capacity from the same hardware, although a long press will do the same.
An executive from Samsung's components division has also stated that this Force Touch technology is coming to its flagships in "the near future", making it the second voice to confirm that this feature would be present in the Galaxy S8. A Galaxy S8 of which there will supposedly be a "plus" version without bezels like the Mi MIX and which will have an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor included in the same screen. It is this specification that led to almost defining that variant without bezels that would be another of the most surprising and risky bets of this manufacturer.
What is clear is that Samsung wants to be the center of attention of the MWC with all those new features that will lead to a lot of talk about your next flagship.
