Sony is one of the manufacturers that more bet on Android updates and for presenting a beta version of the major version since Marshmallow launched it for the Xperia Z3. A company that takes care of providing a very light custom layer, which allows it greater versatility when it comes to properly integrating these updates.
Today we know that Android 7.0 Nougat for the Xperia in beta form is being rolled out for users who have an Xperia X Perfomance and participate in this testing phase. The beta is open only to those who have the one-SIM (F8131) variant of the Xperia X Perfomance in selected regions.
Users will be able to update to Android 7.0 Nougat with the build number in firmware 39.2.a.0248, which includes the October 1 security patches.
As we expected, the first impressions collected by users they don't highlight anything in particular, since there is no radical change in what the user interface would be. Of course, there are those striking features such as the ability to divide the screen and those changes in the notification panel.
With regard to the terminal itself, Sony includes new options in the camera app with manual control of the rate of fire and the iSO at 23 MP. This update to Nougat also includes the latest version of STAMINA mode.
Users have also confirmed the various bug fixes like that of the auto-rotation and an improvement in what would be the sensitivity of the touch of the screen. You can see those screenshots where you can find some of the new details of the Nougat beta for the Xperia, but I said, there is not a big difference to what you have in Marshmallow.
