There are several options to have a better voice that improves the one that has the default voice synthesis application that Android brings. Let him read the text of any of the electronic books that we have, or even of our own RSS news feed with a less robotized voice. With any of the two voice synthesis applications that we bring you today, we can undoubtedly improve the standard one.
Android offers us the possibility of being able to take advantage of the time we spend in a traffic jam, a trip or even on the bus, reading for ourselves that text we want, or even change the voice of the personal trainer that we have in our favorite application to go running.
Just recently Google launched the application in Google Play which comes by default in Android for download and fast update, and so on not having to wait for the manufacturer want to update the terminal.
There are not many options apart from the Android series, but not for that reason not important such as SVOX and IVONA, two excellent speech synthesis applications and that are differentiated by one being paid and the other by being in a public beta phase that has been going on for some time.
applications that may benefit from the use of XVOX or IVONA They are to give several examples: Moon + Reader PRO, Voice Action Plus, TalkToMe Classic, Books Speech Audio Books or WakeVoice, to list a few of the hundreds that you will have.
SVOX
Svox has been with us for a long time on Android, and it was the only viable quality option to Android's own standard speech synthesis until IVONA appeared.
You have a free two-week trial phase to test the more than 25 different languages with its 40 voices in feminine and masculine, so that we can better choose which is the one that will finally be in charge of reading emails, books, PDFs, news or other applications.
Svox has not been updated in a year, and it is a drawback, because your voice doesn't sound as natural as it can Doing it that of IVONA, but this does not mean that it is an important option, since, as we have said, it has more than 40 voices in feminine and masculine for more than 25 languages.
For SVOX to work you have to install the free Classic Text To Speech Engine app from Google Play and then the voice chosen in the language and gender that we want. We can apply the same to IVONA.
IVONA
There will come a time that this great speech synthesis application will be paid, but while it is in the public beta phase it is in, you can enjoy very natural voices that barely have a cut while reading one of our favorite books, and that we can configure as we wish.
IVONA does not have as many languages as SVOX, since it has only 13, but you can forget to hear a robotic voice and delight yourself every time you voice those texts you want from your Android. The configuration options are similar to those offered by XVOX, to properly adjust the voice.
IVONA with their natural voices, and using the BrightVoice engine that offers a more expressive reading, adding that it is in the public beta phase, is really the option to take, not forgetting the importance that SVOX has with its greater number of languages. But if you are looking for a natural, suggestive and expressive voice with hardly any cuts, IVONA is the choice to make.
You have three important options on Google Play, a free one available for a few daysIt's like Android's own Voice Synthesis, IVONA, which is in public beta phase, and SVOX, which is paid.
