The Ford Fiesta that is manufactured in the year 3 will be the first of this brand to bring us compatibility with the Android terminals. First thing in the morning we will not be able to drive it in the same way as James Bond through the terminal and we will only be able to give voice commands to control the playback of the music from the mobile that will be connected to the vehicle radio. As the time of its release approaches, more applications compatible with this brand will be launched and that will allow us to do more things, news, weather, gps, etc ...
We have already been seeing all these synchronizations and performances between vehicles and mobile phones for some time now, and even a car, the Rowe 350, is already in production incorporating a multimedia team managed by Android and capable of connecting to the terminal. This Ford application was already announced at the beginning of the year at CES just after General Motors and Onstar will announce its application capable of taking to the mobile phone the most relevant information about the vehicle, km, route, reviews, alarms,….
Ford then presented Ford SyncApp and announced the launch of the SDK to be able to develop this type of applications compatible with their cars. Ford SyncApp is a set of Apis that will allow developers to create applications capable of communicating with the vehicle and sending and extracting information from it through the Bluetooth connection. With this SDK you can see information from the terminal Android on the car screen, receive data from the car on the phone and of course send orders to the car you could even use voice recognition to change music on CDs.
Ford will be the first of the big brands to bring it to the consumer but we can almost safely bet that the rest will follow suit and it won't take long to do so. Other functionality for your android that you probably hadn't thought of.
