Besides crafting fantastic apps that work flawlessly, he seamlessly shifts between categories, demonstrating his versatility , whether it's web browsers, launchers, Twitter clients, or the app we're focusing on today: TapPath, which offers more advanced features for sharing URLs.
Two days ago we were also announcing another new app from Lacy, HomeTube , to restrict YouTube content access for young children. A brilliant idea that those of you with kids have probably already installed on the tablets they use at home. As for TapPath, it's another brilliant idea from this developer that allows you to share a web link found on Facebook, for example, so that with a single, double, or triple tap you can launch specific apps.
If we're looking at the Facebook feed and see a web link that interests us, if we want to open it in a custom browser like Chrome, we tap once. If, for whatever reason, we want to save that web link, a double tap will open Evernote, and with three taps we'll move it to another app we've previously selected, such as Pocket.
The apps launched by different taps can be fully customized . While everything seems wonderful, TapPath has one drawback: sometimes a triple tap registers as a double tap. It's a minor issue that Lacy will surely resolve in a future update, as TapPath is a fantastic idea in itself.
On the other hand, this new way of sharing URL links highlights the lack of improvement in Android's sharing menu , as it is one of the features that has been least touched lately in the different versions that Google has released.
