The best of the Xiaomi Mi Band 3
Starting with the design of the Mi Band 3 that suffers a evolutionary change regarding the Mi Band 2, we find a physical activity bracelet of the most complete and economical that we can find in the current technological market.
His best asset can be seen in his spectacular 0.78-inch OLED touch screen It looks very, very good indoors, during the day in places that do not get direct sun and especially has an ideal brightness for at night.
A touch screen with a button that perfectly camouflages on the screen without cutting into the sleek, curved design of the screen and from which we can call into action the different functionalities offered by the Mi Band 3 that the truth is not few.
Thus, it offers us browsing through its 0.78-inch touch screen with a resolution of 128 x 80 pixels, the following functionalities:
- Time interface with full date information
- Information about steps, distance, calories burned and battery information.
- Heart rate sensor.
- Weather forecast of our location today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.
- Application notifications showing the app icon and part of the notification text.
- Mini-applications: stopwatch, activate silent mode, find the device and screen where we will find the three available Clock Skins.
To confirm any of the actions such as measuring our heart rate, start the stopwatch, find the device and so on, to do this cWe will confirm with the button, keeping it pressed for three seconds. To go back we just put our finger on the button slightly or navigate up and down or left and right on the touch screen.
The heart rate sensor has improved significantly compared to the Mi Band 2, and it is that if before it took around 20 seconds to take our pulse, now it does it in approximately 10 seconds. The same happens with Bluetooth connectivity that if the Mi Band 2 had Bluetooth 4.0, it has Bluetooth 4.2 that offers us better connectivity.
Also there is a version with NFC connectivity for payments through mobile phones although it will be of little use to us since, at least for nowIt is still only compatible for payments in Chinese territory.
Another thing to highlight about this Xiaomi Mi Band 3 is its resistance to water which has significantly improved compared to the previous model, And it is that while the Mi Band 2 could only submerge one meter for 30 minutes, this Xiaomi Mi Band 3 is resistant to depths of 50 meters or 5 atm for an hour.
The last thing to highlight in the positive plan of the Mi Band 3, apart from the sensational dedicated app Mi Fit that we can download for free from the Google Play Store, it is without a doubt the autonomy of the battery that for me personally is exceeding 20 days of use, spending an average of 5% battery per day and that being a novelty I am giving it but a lot of cane.

the worst of the Xiaomi Mi Band 3
As for the the worst of the Xiaomi Mi Band 3As I tell you and I show you in the attached video that I have left at the beginning of this post, it is without a doubt the brightness of the screen in very bright outdoors or when the sun hits us directly a brightness that is clearly insufficient, so much so that we will not see absolutely any of the information that should be shown to us on the screen, making it completely useless.
Cons
- Insufficient screen brightness in bright sunlight
- Special proprietary charger <
