Very good Androids, we return with a new basic video tutorial in which today I am going to teach you how to factory reset android to have it as it came to us in the first moment of the first start of the terminal, that is, to leave it as it came from the factory by uninstalling all traces of our use with the device.
In this practical tutorial, in addition to teaching them how to factory reset Android from the settings of our own terminal and from different user interfaces, I'm also going to teach you restore our Android from recovery of our device for those cases in which our Android has stopped working and we cannot turn it on or it remains in bootloop in a constant reboot.
What is the use of a factory reset Android?
There are several reasons why you decide to factory reset your android:
- 1º - Because you have decided to sell it and you have to erase all traces of activity with your Android terminal.
- 2nd - Because with the passage of time, use and so much installation and uninstallation of applications your device begins to feel slow and heavy and does not quite work as well and fast as it should.
- 3rd - Because you have installed some Xposed module, some Substratum theme or some type of unsupported application that has made your terminal does not finish starting the system and stays in bootloop or simply does not turn on.
For all these cases we are going to teach you the different ways to reset Android to the factory in several ways, the first of them, the easiest from the Android settings menu:
Factory reset Android from the settings

How to factory reset Android from recovery if you can't turn on your Android
Before carrying out this process, make sure that the battery is 100 × 100 charged.
If you have a modified recovery, it will not be necessary for me to explain how to do a factory reset of your Android since you surely have it at hand, and if you have reached the opening of the bootloader and installation of modified recovery, you are left over on these issues.
For all other mortals and basic Android users who haven't modified their device, let them know that almost all Android have an official recovery from which we can also perform this factory reset even if your Android operating system does not finish starting correctly and remains in bootloop.
Then I explain how to do this factory reset by pressing the correct combination of buttons to access this official recovery from which we will be able to restore our Android to factory origins:
Factory reset Samsung from recovery
- Volume up + Home + PowerOn the Samsung Galaxy S8 the correct way is: Volume Up + Bixby Button + Power. Once in the official recovery we will move with the volume keys up and down, we will look for the option of Wipe data factory reset and confirm with the Power button.
Factory reset LG from recovery
- Volume up + power, we hold it down and as soon as the LG logo comes out, we release them and hold them down again until the device reset screen where we will confirm the total erasure of our LG.
Factory reset Huawei / Asus / BQ from recovery
- Volume up + power. Once the official recovery screen appears, we navigate with the volume keys up or down to the option wipe data factory reset and confirm with the Power button.
Factory reset Motorola / Nexus / Google Pixel / HTC from recovery
- Volume down + power. Once the official recovery screen appears, we navigate with the volume keys up or down to the option wipe data factory reset and confirm with the Power button.
Factory reset Xiaomi from recovery
Xiaomi mobiles allow you to access the Recovery mode from the adjustment menu itself by accessing the Updates section and clicking on the settings menu that appears in the upper right part.
If your Xiaomi does not turn on, that is, it does not turn on or has remained in bootloop, you must check in the Xiaomi forums the model of your terminal and the specific way to enter the Recovery with the corresponding key combination as it varies depending on the terminal model. So for example to enter the recovery Mi on the Xiaomi Mi 6 we will have to make the following combination of buttons: Volume up + home + Power, while for example in the Xiaomi Redmi Note range the button combination is as follows: Volume down + Power for about 4 seconds.
Super, I have a HISENSE and it worked Volume up + on until some white letters appear; You move with up and select with down, it brings 3 modes: normal, recovery (this one I chose) and another, then in blue you get many options, among them WIPE DATA / FACTORY RESET. it asks you to confirm and it begins to format. In that, how long does it take on average? Should it say complete in all sections?
