In one hour and ten minutes, Adobe MAX begins as one of the company's biggest events, and today it brings us a new update for Premiere Rush with new video effects , a content browser, and free assets such as video clips or graphics.
This means that from now on we'll be able to enjoy high-quality content for use in our videos through Splice. There's also a video editing app called Premiere Rush , which is quite comprehensive, although it requires a subscription after you've edited five free videos.
Premiere Rush on Android
While today the arrival of Illustrator on the iPad and Adobe Fresco on the iPhone is being announced (the latter app is able to interpret the experience of a real brush with its bristles), Adobe has also had time to announce the new features of a video editing app that we have on Android: Premiere Rush.
Premiere Rush has been updated to receive new motion effects , a good amount of free content in the form of audio clips and graphics, and a new interface for exploring the content we have on our mobile device.

The new graphics browser presents a full-screen interface for selecting titles, transition graphics, and overlays. Notably, the thumbnails are twice the size of those in the previous Premiere Rush interface. You can even preview them at a larger size by clicking the "more" button.
We can access this new interface from the graphics button , which replaces the previous "titles" button. Of course, we have all those graphics that expand the possibilities of this video editing app for our Android phones.
New royalty-free content thanks to Splice
We want to give a special mention to Splice, as they've partnered with Adobe to offer an audio library with musical themes, audio samples, and sound effects. In other words, if you're looking for that catchy tune for the video you're creating, you can turn to this library, which is sure to provide what you need. Don't miss the Loudy Soundtracks subscription-based audio library.
And while that content is free and royalty-free , it's only available to those with an active Premiere Rush subscription. In other words, if you don't have one and only want to use it for those first free videos, you'll have to use your local music library to enhance your compositions.
We have this new screen for adding music tracks supplied by Splice, using the + button, and then another one for "Audio." This way, we can get our new videos ready with Premiere Rush.
New video transitions
If we go to the effects menu of Adobe Premiere Rush, we will find the new motion effects and those new transitions that add greater variety when composing those video sequences with this app.
The three new transitions are Push, Slide, and Wipe , and they can be configured to change the speed of movement or the direction of entry or exit for each of those transitions.
We emphasize a new motion effect called "Pan and Zoom" which will be useful in many moments to create a special effect when another shot enters the sequence.
This new version of Premiere Rush arrives today with all these new features for an app that uses a Creative Cloud-like subscription model.
