To begin with, this new mode will be available at the end of December, although, as is typical with this type of game, initially only players level 40 or higher will be able to participate. However, the Pokémon GO Trainer Battle mode will later be rolled out to all users of the popular app.

During a press conference in San Francisco, they took the opportunity to explain how the battle system between players in Pokémon GO will work . To begin with, they want the battles to be dynamic, so the average duration of each encounter will not exceed 4 minutes.
One of the essential requirements is that the players be physically close. To ensure this, a QR code will be generated that you must scan with your phone to start the battle. Want to play with a friend on the other side of the world? Don't worry, if you've been their friend in the game for at least 30 days, you may be able to battle their Pokémon remotely as an exception.
