POCO F4 GT with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, more fluid to play

LITTLE F4 GT

As the power of mobile devices has evolved , the number of available games that invite us to enjoy them as we would on a PC or console has increased. But so too have the minimum requirements to enjoy similar graphics quality.

If you use your phone for gaming in addition to WhatsApp , you should check out what Poco presented on April 26th at 14:00 PM (Peninsular Time). At the event, they unveiled the Poco F4 GT, a phone aimed at demanding users who want to get the most out of their video games without spending a fortune.

State of the art processor

The Poco F4 GT will arrive on the market with Qualcomm's most powerful processor , the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, a processor that will allow us to enjoy maximum power at a very affordable price, as is usual with this manufacturer.

Unlike the previous generation, in which it opted for MediaTek with the Dimensity 1200, this new generation offers us the maximum power available at the moment, without giving up anything.

Depending on the games we like best, interacting with the screen is not always comfortable , much less intuitive.

The Poco F4 GT includes magnetic triggers that turn the mobile phone into a console controller with an integrated screen and a gaming experience, especially in shooters, far superior to the traditional one.

Refrigeration system

One of the common problems with mobile devices, compared to consoles and PCs, is the cooling system. Both computers and consoles include a series of fans to keep the graphics card and processor cool at all times.

In mobile devices, due to space limitations, fans cannot be added. The most effective solution is to use liquid cooling . The Poco F4 GT uses Liquid Cool 3.0 technology.

Liquid Cool 3.0 technology is responsible for isolating the heat source generated by the SoC when it is at its maximum performance from the circuits that are part of the device.

In addition, it includes two vapor chambers that cover the SoC and charging circuits independently, creating an area 170% larger than what was available in the previous generation.

Between the SoC and the vapor chamber, there is a copper block that acts as a heat conductor, improving conductivity by 350% compared to the silicone paste that is commonly used.

The antennas of the Poco F4 GT are covered by a layer of aerospace graphene which, due to its low electrical conductivity, helps to regulate the temperature of the device.

Rest of specifications

Unlike other manufacturers, Poco keeps leaks about all its devices very well controlled. And the Poco F4 GT has been no exception.

We know nothing about the camera setup this device will offer. It will most likely be similar to the configuration found in the previous generation, which consisted of:

  • A 64 MP main lens
  • An 8 MP wide angle
  • A 2 MP macro lens

Speaking of the screen, the 120Hz refresh rate is a given , as it offers a smooth feel typically found only on monitors designed for specialized computers. In addition to the 120Hz refresh rate, the touchscreen boasts a 480Hz refresh rate.

Regarding the resolution, it will most likely be similar to the previous generation, with 6,67 inches and Full HD+ resolution and OLED type (since otherwise it will be a step backwards) and will be compatible with HDR 10+.

We also don't know anything about the amount of storage space or RAM, although they will be quite generous considering that it is a mobile phone for gaming.

Poco will most likely release two versions with 6 and 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 and 256 GB storage versions , using UFS 3.1 storage , currently the fastest on the market.

Speaking of the battery, we have to mention the fast charging it will also include, a fast charging system that could be equal to or better than the 67W offered by the Poco F3 GT. Regarding capacity, it will most likely remain at 5.000 mAh.

In just over 30 minutes we can have the battery ready to use the device intensively again without any limitations.

To manage the entire device, Poco will opt for the latest version of Android currently available , Android 12, with the manufacturer's usual customization layer.
