Nor is it valid that the product that is offered stands out in one aspect such as the battery, or the screen. Now, in order to attract attention, a smartphone must have good performance in practically all areas.

The OUKITEL K8 claims to be good at everything. Offering high-level performance in all respects in which the quality of a phone can be measured. That is why we wanted to test it thoroughly for a few days to see first-hand if all that glitters is gold.  So we go step by step telling what this smartphone offers, and what we thought. The OUKITEL K8 by parts

If we look at the OUKITEL K8 from the front, its enormous 6-inch screen with FHD + resolution. A size that we love for its aspect ratio 18:9, ideal to enjoy our favorite series, for example. We see very narrow frames around the edges, although not so much in its upper and lower part. We have a screen occupancy ratio very acceptable of a 77%.

At lower part we find, as usual, in the most central area, the loading port. In this case we find again with connector micro USB. It is also not very logical to find this type of connector in such a new smartphone. Some manufacturers are reluctant to upgrade to the USB Type C connector. On one side of the connector we find the speaker, and on the other side the microphone, no surprise or news.

Once again we take inventory of everything we find inside the box of every new device. The OUKITEL K8 is presented in a Glossy white square and flat case with the signature logo in the center in metallic gray lettering. Inside there are few news and some details of the signature.

In addition to the terminal, which appears in the foreground, we have the typical connection cables for charging and data transfer. In this case we have usb micro, still OUKITEL has not decided on the most current USB Type C. We also have the connector for electrical current, fortunately in the European version.

OUKITEL K8, 6-inch full resolution

We've mentioned it several times already, we love big screens. In this OUKITEL K8 the 5 inches went down in history. Count on 6 inches on a smartphone a year ago it seemed crazy. It seemed that for a smartphone to have that screen we would have to have oversized phones, and fortunately we have seen that this is not the case. 

And this is thanks to a good joint design work by all the brands that make up the market. Having more screen on the phone is no longer directly proportional to having to carry a large smartphone.

The OUKITEL K8 has launched itself to conquer the public with a large 6-inch screen. But not only does it offer good size, this screen has much more. We are facing a IPS LCD screen with Full HD + resolutionIe 1080 x 2160 px. A capacitive screen rated with Very  High Density, 402 pixels per inch.

In addition, the OUKITEL K8 screen has 2.5D rounded glass termination, which, thanks to a good assembly job, fits perfectly with the metal frame. And according to the manufacturer it is scratch and shock resistant.

To put a small objection that is not a "hit", the OUKITEL K8 does not have notification LEDs. It may not be a notable absence. But we always say that it is a small detail that sometimes helps us to facilitate some tasks.

We look inside the OUKITEL K8

As we said at the beginning of the post, OUKITEL continues to prosper thanks to the manufacture of competent terminals in all its aspects. The OUKITEL K8 is without a doubt a balanced smartphone, and it measures up to practically every aspect. The power section is also well covered.

The battery, the weak point of the OUKITEL K8?

It is true that we love screens the bigger the better. But keep in mind that a large screen results in higher energy consumption. So that this is not a problem, the level of optimization achieved between all the components of the device plays a very important role.

We have already seen terminals with huge batteries that then do not give more than other conventional ones. And this is due to uncontrolled consumption that is exorbitant. How much does a smartphone with such a large screen need to last decently? At OUKITEL they have chosen 5000 mAh. Enough?

The manufacturer itself does not launch the bells to the flight by selling the motorcycle that it is a huge battery and that lasts a long time. There will be those who think so, and others who do not.

As we have already seen, and even debated on social networks, the fact that a device has more or less battery directly affects the size and weight of the smarthone. Security solutions

As an addition, the OUKITEL K8 is compatible with facial recognition technology. The front camera is in charge of acting as a face scanner. It is an option that we can activate simply by accessing the settings. But after testing it, it has not been more comfortable than using the footprint. In addition to not being very "fine" on some occasions. Faced with a technology on which there is still much to be developed, we prefer to trust, for the moment, the fingerprint. 

The sound, a great forgotten?

We have been saying throughout the post that the OUKITEL K8 is a balanced smartphone in everything. That stands out for the good in practically all aspects, especially considering the price at which we can acquire it. In the external sound section we cannot say that it "limps" when compared to 99% of the competition.

But we can affirm that it is another smartphone that has just one speaker. Stereo sound seems relegated to a very distant past. And we have little hope that he will one day return. Knowing about the success of bluetooth speakers to listen to music from the phone. We are convinced that the firm that offers a smartphone with powerful and quality stereo sound will leave its mark on the market.

Another feature that differentiates the OUKITEL K8 is that the manufacturers have decided to keep the 3.5mm Jack connector. So we can use our usual headphones without the need for cables or adapters.

Pros and Cons of the OUKITEL K8

Pros

We love to see devices that have definitely outgrown 5 inches to all their decimals. A display of 6 inches sounds better. And after being able to test it for a few days, and thanks to a good use of the front panel, we have to say that we do not want anything smaller.

We have power to spare not only with the processor, it also adds, and a lot, to have 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of ROM, especially considering that we are talking about a smartphone that does not reach € 150.

The photography section also adds integers. Have a camera after which we find a manufacturer like Sony It is a guaranteed guarantee. And so we have been able to verify it in the results obtained with the photos that we have been able to take

Cons

We didn't like finding anything plastic materials on the back. Although it is common for smartphones that move in its price range to use this type of material, in the OUKITEL K8 it is out of tune with the rest of the specifications.

The USB Type-C connector has been on the market long enough to be considered established. It is supposed to offer a faster connection, and has the advantage that the cables can be plugged up or down interchangeably. But OUKITEL, and some other firms have not yet taken the step of changing and continue to use the Micro USB.

Although we have had much heavier smartphones on our hands, the OUKITEL K8 is not entirely light. Its 198 grams compared to other terminals make it somewhat heavier than the average.
