The new update is 1,32 GB in size and comes with the April 2020 security patch. Below is the full changelog given by the company about this new firmware package:

- Smart answer: save more time with recommended actions.
- Gesture navigation: slip and slide.
- Additional privacy and location controls.
- Google Security Patch (2020-04).
At the moment, the update for the smartphone is being distributed globally, so not all units should have already received it worldwide. However, this will be until May 24; After that date, all Nokia 3.1 will have Android 10 available through their respective OTA.
