Today we bring you a new review of another product from Motorola . A very prolific manufacturer in recent years, constantly bringing new products to the market, especially in the mid-range segment where they excel. We've had the opportunity to test the Moto G62 for a few weeks, and today we'll tell you all about it.
We've already tested several Motorola models in 2022, and one thing is clear : all of their smartphones, even those in the mid-range or entry-level categories, share a minimum level of quality in terms of materials and many design elements.
New host for the mid-range

We always say it, but it remains true. The Android mid-range is improving with each new device that hits the market. The elite segment of top-tier smartphones is perfectly defined. And for Motorola, as for many other manufacturers, that's not their market niche. A manufacturer that has contributed, as we've said, to the increase in quality.
Motorola's strategy of exaggerated productivity , and the number of new models we can find today, make it practically inevitable to compile a list of smartphones in 2.022 without including at least one of them.
Unbox Moto G62

It's time to open the Moto G62 box and unpack everything inside. First, we find the phone itself , which, as always, arrives well-protected in plastic, and this time, also with a free silicone case . It's always a plus to have this essential accessory when you get a new smartphone.
Otherwise, it's more of the same… It includes the USB-C charging and data cable , the wall charger , the classic SIM eject tool, and warranty documentation and a quick start guide . You can now get the Motorola Moto G62 on Amazon with a great discount.
This is the Moto G62
We'll take a closer look at the Moto G62, and as always, we'll start with the front panel . We find a generously sized screen with a 6.5-inch diagonal . And this time, that good size comes with a good configuration. Something that will allow us to enjoy the content we consume in full quality.
We have to highlight how Motorola has chosen to "hide" the front camera , something they've done in virtually all their new devices. The teardrop notch , or hole in the screen, seems to us to be the cleanest design we've seen. It doesn't disrupt the harmony of the front and is subtly integrated into the glass. You can now get the Motorola Moto G62 on Amazon with a great discount.
At the bottom of the device, we find the USB Type-C charging port . We have to congratulate Motorola on this; the definitive farewell to the Micro USB connector is now a reality. Next to it are the Dolby Atmos speaker , the only one of its kind, the 3.5 mm headphone jack , and the microphone for calls.

On the right side, we find the physical buttons . They are integrated into a metal frame that surrounds the entire device. There's the typical elongated volume control button , and the home and power button to turn the screen on and off. This button also has a touch-sensitive area where the fingerprint reader is located . It's easily accessible with your right thumb.

The back is made of a plastic material that we really liked. It feels sturdy to the touch , and according to the manufacturer, it will withstand bumps and scratches well . Furthermore, it closely resembles metal , giving it a truly attractive and high-quality appearance.
In this section, the camera module stands out . A triple-lens camera is located in the upper left corner, with the lenses aligned vertically. The LED flash is positioned to the right, level with the top lens.

The screen of the Motorola Moto G62
As we mentioned, the Moto G62 comes with a good-sized screen , well-balanced with the quality it offers. It's a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2040 ), a pixel density of 405 pixels per inch , and a 20:9 aspect ratio.

This configuration significantly improves the device's overall quality, giving it an edge over rivals in the same price range with lower specifications. It also allows us to better appreciate the quality of the photos it's capable of taking. At the top of the front panel is a hole-shaped or teardrop notch housing the front-facing camera.
The Motorola Moto G62's screen is scratch-resistant , though the manufacturer doesn't specify the type of glass. The 2.5D curved panel , with no bezels, fits seamlessly into the metal frame without any step, providing excellent protection. Buy your Motorola Moto G62 now on Amazon with a great discount.
What is the Moto G62 equipped with?

It's time to talk about the processing equipment in this G62. Considering it's a mid-range device, it performs well and can handle any everyday task smoothly and without lag.
The Moto G62 features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 Plus processor with a 2x2.2 GHz Kryo 460 + 6x1.8 GHz Kryo 460 CPU. This chip is already used by the company in several of its devices and is also relied upon by other brands such as Honor and Sharp. It's an octa-core processor built on an 8nm process with a clock speed of 2.2 GHz and a 64-bit architecture.

It comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage , which you can also expand with a Micro SD memory card. You'll never run out of space for your photos, apps, or games again—definitely one less thing to worry about when it comes to storage space. The graphics are handled by the Qualcomm Adreno 619 GPU , also used in other models from the brand, with performance that satisfies the user. It runs quite smoothly and even handles games with ease and without showing any weakness. However, it's worth keeping in mind that this is very good performance compared to other devices in its price range.
The camera of the Moto G62
We've already briefly mentioned this camera module in the description. It features a triple-lens camera system located in the upper left corner of the device's back, arranged vertically. Each lens performs a specific function, working together to create a complete photographic system.

The main lens is a real winner, thanks to being manufactured by a leading brand and its proven track record in numerous other devices. It's the Samsung S5KJN1 lens with a 50-megapixel resolution . Thanks to the high-resolution screen, we can fully appreciate the image quality. The ISOCELL sensor with an f/1.8 aperture has a lot to offer.
We also find an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor , and a 2-megapixel macro lens . This trio is completed by a decent LED flash to illuminate darker scenes. The front-facing camera for selfies and video calls has a 16-megapixel resolution and an f/2.5 aperture.
It's worth noting that the video recording doesn't have optical image stabilization , but it does allow slow-motion recording at 240 frames per second . It also features digital zoom , which, as we all know, will cause the image to lose sharpness and definition as we zoom in.

Finally, for photography, we can use autofocus, face detection, burst shooting, panorama mode, and even different shooting modes. And we can easily access settings for HDR, RAW , exposure compensation, and white balance adjustment.
Photos taken with the Motorola Moto G62
As we do with every smartphone we're lucky enough to test, we took some sample photos to analyze the results its cameras are capable of. We tested this triple camera , and the truth is, the results were more satisfying than we could have expected.

A photo of the sky never fails and is useful for several reasons. Although it depends a lot on the sun's altitude, we can appreciate various things in it. In this shot, with the chimneys, we can appreciate the different shades of blue and light blue . Even with a bit of backlighting , the camera is able to capture true-to-life colors.

Colors , and the fidelity with which a camera can display them, are among the most valued aspects of a camera. To test this, we examined the lens with different colors, sizes, and shapes, and the results were good. However, we must say that the sharpness could still be improved for a close-up photo.

In a photograph with such a powerful and well-defined light source, the camera software tries to compensate for the lack of color , and it doesn't do a bad job. We don't see any completely blown-out areas , just areas with a more subdued tone that closely resembles reality. But the same thing happens somewhat with the sharpness; there are certain areas that don't look quite right.

If we take a photograph of an object with a defined pattern of shapes, the result is also satisfactory. Good definition of shapes, and clarity in colors.

The portrait mode photo , with its background blur to highlight the main subject, is well done. The edge detection is clean, with no blurry or odd areas, and the desired effect is achieved quite well. If this smartphone is exactly what you were looking for, you can buy the Motorola Moto G62 now on Amazon with a significant discount.
We often say that nowadays almost any modern phone can take good photos in good natural light. But, as is also the case with almost all phones, the camera struggles considerably in darkness or poor lighting.
Autonomy and extras
Battery life, and the autonomy it offers, remains a crucial factor for many buyers . Some users even prioritize a smartphone's battery life over its physical appearance or weight, for example. Therefore, all manufacturers strive to provide the maximum possible battery life in each of their devices.

The Moto G62 is equipped with a 5.000 mAh lithium-polymer battery . This battery capacity seems to be becoming common in Motorola's latest releases. The 5.000 mAh battery guarantees up to two days of use . However, with heavier than normal usage, it will barely last a full day.
It doesn't have wireless charging , a feature that's still lacking more than expected in the mid-range. However, it does have 30W fast charging , another plus that makes it more appealing when compared to other models that don't include it.
