Moto Z, we tested the new flagship at IFA

We continue with all the news presented at the IFA in Berlin. We have already seen some of the accessories of this phone, such as its powerful Hasselblad True Zoom camera module, now it is the turn of the Moto Z, Motorola's new flagship that replaces the old X range.

A novel phone, with a module system reminiscent of the LG G5, although much more comfortable. Don't miss our first video impressions of the Moto Z!

Moto Z, Lenovo's new modular phone

Moto Z (2)

The Moto Z is not really a modular phone, or at least it does not use a system like that of the canceled Ara Project in which we can change part of the terminal hardware. In this case we find a Module system to improve some aspects of the Moto Z, such as its battery or the terminal camera.

Leaving aside the modules, to say that the Moto Z has a very premium design, in addition to being a really thin terminal, with a thickness of 5.5 mm. The touch is very pleasant in the hand, as well as offering a good grip. Of course, this design has a cost and the Moto Z does not have a headphone jack so the only option to use them is via Bluetooth or NFC. Let's go on to review the performance of the Moto Z.

Moto Z

Looking at its benefits, it is clear that the Moto Z will include the highest range in the sector thanks to the powerful hardware that mounts the new Lenovo phone. A very complete team that promises excellent performance. We will see how its battery behaves, quite limited if we take into account its 2K screen, although we know that the SoC Snapdragon 820 optimizes resources really well.

As always, we will have to wait for Motorola to send us a test unit to be able to analyze more in depth the new Motorola and Lenovo phone. And to you, What do you think of the new Moto Z? Do you think your module system will be successful in the market?
