Google burst onto the scene almost a month ago with drastically reduced prices, making it possible to access 1TB of storage for $9.99 per month. Not to be outdone, MediaFire has launched the same amount of storage for $5, or half the price.
We said back then that this move by Google would prompt its direct rivals to respond , and less than a month has passed before a cloud storage service has already appeared offering a price cut in half. It's expected that Microsoft or even Dropbox will launch a price reduction for their services and not be left behind in this race that various companies seem to be waging to try and capture the cloud market.
And for this occasion, they're even offering half a terabyte of data for $2.5 —that's quite a deal! And to keep up with the times, their desktop, Android, and iOS versions have received new updates that have improved performance, so this could be a service well worth checking out.
Even so, it seems that it will be difficult for certain users to abandon the quintessential service Dropbox for others , but given what we've seen with these offers and plan discounts, it leads us to think that the price for which we have all our files in the cloud will decrease.
While the battle between Dropbox, Google Drive, and Amazon Cloud Drive continues, users will continue to benefit from these fights, enjoying better service quality and paying less for each megabyte of cloud storage.
