El vice president of Xiaomi Global has confirmed a few hours ago that POCO will operate as a totally independent brand. Great news for the future of POCO phones and it seems that it is aimed at following in the footsteps of OnePlus, although in a very different segment in which this brand fights.
In other words, the Xiaomi sub-brand has grown by itself in one of your own to differentiate yourself and from now on walking alone in a smartphone market in which it is increasingly difficult to stand out. That POCO F1 has been one of the reasons why we are breaking the news today.
And say that if you want you can differentiate one from the rest. LITTLE shows it when years ago you didn't even think about it that another brand could enter between that low and medium range. The POCO F1 has been the bastion of this brand with which to lay the necessary foundations to continue growing.
Excited to share: #POCO will now be an independent brand!
What started as a sub-brand within Xiaomi has grown into its own identity. POCO F1 was an incredibly popular phone. We feel the time is right to let POCO operate on its own.
Join me in wishing @IndiaPOCO all the best.

Been from his Twitter account from where Manu Kumar Jain has released the news and with which we acknowledge that as of today POCO is an independent brand. A brand that in these parts has been very received and that allows users to enter superior qualities who do not want to go through the high-end range due to its higher prices.
Now we will have to see if POCO will be able to keep its flagships at a very affordable price with good specs by getting rid of Xiaomi and not having the backs covered so well. Everything will be decided by those next launches that will mean a lot to the brand and that will have to be well measured to follow the success achieved by POCO F1. From these lines we are happy about the new path taken by POCO.
