It allows you to send messages that will self-destruct and can be modified by the sender after a period of time ranging from 2, 5, or 10 seconds to a minute, an hour, or even a whole week. During this time, the contact can read the text, and once it expires, the message will be deleted from both the chat history and Line's data servers.
According to Line itself, the inclusion of Secret Chat has nothing to do with the recent hacking reports. On the contrary, this new feature is focused on providing Line users with appropriate communication functionalities.
