Launcher LG Optimus UI 2.0 for Cyanogen-based ROMs

In the following article I want to contribute to its installation via Recovery, the Launcher itself LG Optimus, fully optimized for roms based on Cyanogen and valid for multiple devices.

The project is located in the xdadevelopers research and development forum, and is available for completely free download.

El Launcher It is carried directly from the rom Gueste2X v3.7R Hybrid Revolution, also located in xdadevelopers and based on Cyanogenmod 7 for him LG Optimus 2X.

I still haven't been able to test this Launcher properly on my Samsung Galaxy S model GT-I9000, but I have allowed myself the license to directly test the APK taken from zip flashable via Recovery, and the result, even not having installed it properly in the internal file system of my device, has been really good.

El Launcher Visually it is very attractive and functional, and it offers us a style somewhat different from what we are used to, even if it has not been installed correctly it has behaved very well, only some forced closure when trying to use the Widgets, although that is within normality, since they are not included in the APK.

My tests have been run under 4.1.1 Android Jelly Bean, specifically with the rom of Tsunami, and as I said a moment ago, even not having installed it correctly, the sensations have been frankly good.

Whoever wants to test this Launcher in a correct way should follow these instructions:

Installation method

We must have a device rooted and with Clockworkmod recovery, which in turn is using a rom based on Cyanogenmod.

To install it, we will restart the terminal in Recovery mode and follow these flashing instructions:

  • We download the zip and copy it without decompressing it to the root of the SDcard of the device to which we are going to install it.
  • We restart in recovery mode
  • Wipe cache partition
  • Advanced / wipe dalvik cache
  • Go Back
  • Install zip from sdcard
  • Choose zip from sdcard
  • We select the zip of the launcher and install it
  • Reboot system now

With this we will have the launcher installed correctly in our terminal with rom based on CyanogenMod.
