Huawei has launched in China a new version of the P40 model under the 4G network and with some interesting features and regardless of the 5G modem included in Kirin 990. The phone has been shown by JD and it does so after showing the sales of the P40, P40 Pro and P40 Pro + 5G models quite well.
It differs in few things from the model that was launched in March last year, therefore we are facing the same model but oriented for the Asian market at the moment. This version, as with others, will not leave this region to other countries, so landing in Europe is ruled out.
Huawei P40 4G, a smartphone with remarkable performance
The screen is one of the main strengths, it is a 6,1 inch OLED Full HD +, the refresh rate is 60 Hz and the aspect ratio is 19,5: 9 with 422 dpi. The panel occupies a range of 92,5%, almost the entire front, hardly has bezels, only at the edges.
The chip is Kirin 990 with 4G connectivityIt does not come with a 5G modem, so it will be cheaper than the other model and the graphic section is covered by Mali-G76. It incorporates 8 GB of RAM, enough for any application or video game, as well as 128 GB of storage with the possibility of expanding it with NM Cards.
In the back the Huawei P40 4G shows a total of three sensors, the main one is a 50-megapixel RYBB from Leica, the second is a 16-megapixel wide-angle, and the third is an 8-megapixel telephoto with OIS. The front camera is 32 megapixels, surrounded by a ToF sensor.
Large capacity battery
The battery is 3.800 mAh, enough to withstand the Kirin 990, which is efficient in addition to offering a lot of fluidity with any type of application. It promises an autonomy of almost a full day with a 100% charge. Huawei has a battery optimizer and EMUI can be configured to remove apps in the background.
The battery charge stays at 22,5W, the P40 Pro model reaches 40W, it still charges quite quickly, since from 0 to 100% it will take about 45 minutes. The positive is that charging cycles can be done above 20% without the battery noticing it in charges.
Connectivity and operating system
Huawei P40 4G arrives with 4G / LTE connectivityIt lacks the aforementioned 5G modem and will operate under fourth-generation networks in a fast manner. It accompanies Wi-Fi 4, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, and a USB-C port to charge it in addition to using the headphones. The fingerprint reader is under the screen.
The operating system will remain Android 10, the update to the other version will take a while, as HarmonyOS 2.0 is still in the maturing phase. EMUI 10.1 arrives with the latest patches and it will be the layer that handles the device once you turn it on out of the box.

Availability and price
El Huawei P40 4G will arrive in China as the only market, so there will be no arrival to other countries at the moment unless it is through the well-known JD. The 8/128 GB model costs about 3.899 yuan, about 508 euros to change and arrives in the box with headphones and the 22,5W charger. The two colors available are blue and gray.
