HTC has been slow to deliver Android Pie to several of its devices. ANDl HTC U12+ is one of them, or was, rather. This high-end, launched in May of last year with the Snapdragon 845 and old-school bezels, is now receiving it through a new update.
Going from Oreo to Pie brings big changes, software-wise. Users, from now on, can download and install this new firmware package to start enjoying all the new benefits for the aforementioned flagship.
@sardroid, a Twitter user, shared a screenshot of Android 9 Pie update on your Taiwanese HTC U12 +. This was one of those in charge of generating the news that the smartphone is receiving it.

The XDA member, satinghostrider, and several users on the HTC forums also reported receiving the update, which it has a size of 1.06 GB and the build number of '2.45.709.1'. The changelog doesn't provide much information about the security patch or any other important details, but it does mention that BlinkFeed removed Google+ due to the shutdown of the social media service.
HTC had announced its Android 9 Pie update schedule for three of its devices in May. According to the timeline, the HTC U12+ was scheduled to receive the Android Pie update these days, something that has been fulfilled as is.
For now, the update seems to be coming only to the HTC U12 + from Taiwan. It would soon be expanding to global versions of the smartphone. If you already have it, for download and installation, we recommend that the smartphone be connected to a stable and high-speed Wi-fi network, in order to avoid consuming the active data package and avoid unwanted expenses. We also advise not to have the device with a low battery level.
