How to optimize GPS in Mediatek terminals

Mediatek

One of the things that bothers me the most about terminals with processors Mediatek, even having terminals with incredible technical specifications such as the Kingszone Z1 which we did the review a few days ago, is the bad configuration of the GPS chip of the same. Unois GPS chips that are specially optimized for use in Asian territory.

In the next post I am going to teach you, by installing three applications, the correct way to optimize the GPS of these terminals of Chinese origin and with Mediatek processors.

The first thing we are going to need is to have a terminal of course, with Mediatek processor, and that in addition is previously Rooted. As a practical example to follow, we are going to do this tutorial thinking about the Kingszone Z1 since it is the terminal that I have right now and I can certify that it really works and optimizes the reception and positioning of the GPS signal to the maximum that in the beginning and to be honest goes as standard as the ass.

To Root the Kingszone Z1 and a lot of other compatible terminals, we are going to follow this specific tutorial that teaches us how to use vRoot for Windows.

Once Rooted, we are only going to have to download the three applications that I will detail below and configure them as I tell you here.

Once this application is installed we will execute it and configure it as I show you in the attached image. We will only have to select the Europe continent y region Spain and grant them superuser permissions.

Once downloaded MT GPS, we will run the application and click on the button that says Download EPO Files. We will accept the superuser request and proceed to the next step.

To finish this GPS optimization in terminals with Mediatek processor like this Kingszone Z1 taken as an example, we will open the GPS Status application in an open place, when I say open I mean outdoors, and we will wait for it to capture the exact situation of the available satellites. This process the first time we do it may take a few minutes, then, with the normal use of applications that use GPS, the application will run in the background to speed up the connection with the aforementioned GPS positioning satellites.

With these three simple applications and your Mediatek terminal duly Rooted, you will be able to enjoy all the power offered by the devices that mount this kind of low-cost processors in their terminals and with very good performance.
