How many of you are asking me through the different social networks, blog comments and the YouTube channel itself if there is any way to be able to install themes on MIUI after the notification of the application or delimitation that now appears to us saying that the Themes application installed by default in our Xiaomi is no longer compatible with our geographical area; Today I have decided to create this kind of practical video tutorial in which I show you how to return to normality with the application of Xiaomi Themes, so that from it and without having to download themes externally, we can reuse it as we have always done to download themes for MIUI officially.
A video tutorial that I advise you to watch as it is valid for both the latest version of MIUI10 and for previous versions of the customization layer that comes by default in the terminals of the popular Chinese brand.
Trick valid for all versions of MIUI, even MIUI 10
The trick to follow in order to download MIUI themes and install them on our Xiaomi terminal and to be able to have the theme store activated directly on our main desktop in addition to the MIUI settings, it is as simple as entering the settings of our device, going down to the System and device section and entering the Settings option Additional:
Once there we will only suffice with click on the Region option and select a region that is not within the European Union, in the practical example that I show you in the video, I have chosen to select the region of South Korea, region that has worked for me without any problem since it has activated the power option the first time download MIUI themes from the dedicated Themes application itself that now appears to me again on the main desktop of my Android.
Once we have swept the Xiaomi official Themes store downloading as many songs as we want, (Complete Themes, Wallpapers and Ringtones)We can now return to the settings of our Xiaomi and re-select our correct region, in my case Spain.
By doing this The Themes application will disappear from the main desktop of our Xiaomi although we will continue to have that option within the settings, again capped so that we cannot download new themes, although with the themes that we have previously downloaded with this simple trick at our disposal to be able to be applied whenever we like.
That's how easy and simple it is to have hfully enabled and without any geographical restriction the Xiaomi themes application to download our favorite MIUI themes.
Note: Although the themes that appear in the application when downloading them from MIUI 10 we get the notice that they are not compatible with our version of MIUI since they could damage the layer of MIUI 10, as I show you in the video they are totally valid for MIUI 10 although they will not apply to all parts of the system, for example the changes do not apply to the notification curtain or apps such as the calculator, although on the contrary work perfectly on our desktops, icons, settings, dials and messages app or the clock app.
