El Samsung Galaxy S10 + lets you create Bixby Routines to have automated tasks and thus save us time and effort. Automated tasks so that Spotify is automatically launched when we connect the headphones, or simply activate a series of elements for when we go to sleep.
And while we can create our Bixby Routines, the Galaxy S10 + has by default a series of them created to save us having to customize them. We are going to show you how to create your first automated Bixby routine on the new Samsung phone.
How to create our first Bixby routine
By default we have a series of routines already created by Samsung itself and that allow us to activate a series of controls in the morning when we wake up, others for the night and even for work. There is a great variety of default routines that encourage us to have automated tasks in order to have a more "intelligent" and smart phone in our hands.
To give you a better idea of ​​Bixby routines, activating "good morning" activates this series of elements:
- Always OnDisplay.
- Lock screen accesses are changed.
- Three accesses in the panel widget: list, weather forecast and recommended apps.
But let's create our first Bixby routine. One for what when headphones are plugged in it will play Spotify.
- We open the notification panel and click on the gear icon to access Settings.
- In the settings, click on the magnifying glass and we write: Bixby Routines.
- We give direct access.
- And we activate the option "Bixby Routines" in Advanced Features.
- We click on the + sign.
- Click on the large + button to indicate that it will turn on the routine.
- Of the list we select «Headphones with cable».
- Then "Connected."
- We give "Done".
- Now we give the following in the lower right.
- We select in the "+" button the action from the list that will appear.
- In the functions section we choose «Play Music».
- We select Spotify and we give Done.
- On the next screen back to Done after changing the name of the Routine at the top.
We have lists our first Bixby Routine on our brand new Galaxy S10 +. This trick is also valid for any of the other two models of the Galaxy S10 such as the S10e and the normal S10.
