Since the screens of mobile phones are getting bigger, and the notch is getting smaller, the LED notification is disappearing little by little. Despite this, many users still have this feature on their devices, especially on Huawei.
And it is that this serves as a hands-free when it comes to alerting about the different notifications that you can receive on your mobile phone without having to pick it up to know what it is. What's more, you don't even need to unlock the screen to know if it is a message, a whatsapp, a missed call, or a low battery alert.
Steps to change the notification LED in EMUI 10
In many of the mobiles of the Chinese brand, the notification light is disabled by default. The good thing is that you can activate it and then configure the colors that you want to associate with each application. In EMUI 10 cannot be changed from the mobile's own settings.
Before you can activate the notification LED light, you must access the EMUI 10 settings and locate the menu Notifications. There you should find a list with all the applications you have installed on your phone, in addition to the possibility of showing or not showing alerts in the terminal.
If you want the LED of your Huawei device to turn on when you receive an alert, you have to access the menu of More adjustments of notifications, and once there, you have to mark the option of Flashing notification light.
If what you want is to be able to change the color of the notifications on your mobile, you will need download some external application, which must be valid for both Chinese brand phones and terminals of other brands in which the color tone of the default bulb cannot be changed. You will find two versions, one free, which will allow you to change the color in notifications of phone apps such as SMS and battery, and the paid one, dedicated to apps of all the apps you have installed on your mobile.
As soon as it is installed, the application will ask you permission to access notifications. Accept it and from the app screen you will be able to see all the applications to which you can change the color. You just have to select the one you want to change, and click on the colored circle to establish a new one.
If you want to add other applications, go to the 3-line menu, which is in the upper right corner, and check select apps. Now click on the red box of the proposed options, and if you have the paid version, you will have the possibility to add any app to your catalog to set the LED light you prefer.
