In the last two years, we have seen how it is increasingly common to find terminals on the market using screens with OLED technology, a technology that not only offers more true and faithful colors, but also allows us save battery as long as we use dark themes.
Dark themes, which are really dark, that is to say that the interface is completely black and not dark gray, allows us to save a large amount of battery if we make a lot of use of them, since it only uses the necessary LEDs to show different colors to the black. If you have a smartphone with an OLED screen and you spend many hours on Facebook Messenger, below we show you how to activate the dark mode.
First of all, keep in mind that Facebook Messenger's dark mode is not officially available, so if you have been running to the configuration options instead of continuing to read this article, I welcome you again.
To be able to activate the dark mode in the Facebook Messenger interface, we just have to go to any conversation in send the moon emoticon. At that moment, we will see how moons begin to rain on the screen and then the home screen is shown with the dark mode option to activate.

When activated, the application will show a window where we can read that they are still working in this dark mode, so it is very likely that when we open the application again, the dark theme has disappeared and we have to activate it again.

Fortunately, the activation process is very simple, so if we plan to spend a while in the application, making use of this trick we will save battery on our device.
In the attached video that I have left you at the beginning of this post, my partner Francisco Ruiz shows you the process to follow step by step.
