Google's mail service, Gmail, is one of the most used services in the world, for the same reasons as Google: it is the best of all and absolutely nobody comes close to it in terms of functionality. For a few weeks, we have been able to directly edit Office documents stored in Google Drive, a function that arrived a few days ago on iOS.
However, it is not enough and Google continues to work on further integrating Office documents across its platform and has just added a new feature, a new feature this time to Gmail. Thanks to this function, we will be able to directly edit the Office files that we receive, without having to save it previously.
Google has begun to implement a new functionality through Gmail to add to Office documents, a new button in the shape of a pencil and in addition to those already available that allow us to store the document on the device or in the Google cloud .
By clicking on this pencil, the Google editor for text files, spreadsheets or presentations will open automatically without us having to do anything else during the process. But, there is not the thing. What about the edited document?
Well, very simple. When clicking on the options of the Google application that we have used to edit the document, we have two options:
- Reply to the original email with the edited file.
- Email the edited file.
Unlike other options that Google adds for business customers, this new feature will begin to reach each and every user who uses the Gmail application on their mobile devices. At the moment this function has begun to be available in some countries, so we will probably have to wait seated to be able to use it.
