In the following article, we will address a problem that occurs with many Jelly Bean or ICS roms, in which after a first installation perfect, after a few hours, or even days, we begin to double, triple and even quadruple, all the files in our multimedia librarya, be it photos, videos and mainly the music tracks of our device.
Following the steps that I describe below, we will be able to solve once and for all the curious problem of duplicate tracks on Android.
The first thing we must take into account, to avoid this problem, and it does not even appear, is when performing the process of flashing the rom have the SD card removed of our device and do not place it until the process has finished correctly and the phone has been successfully restarted.
If even doing that, the multimedia files appear duplicated, we will proceed to follow these simple steps.
Solving the problem of multiplied media files
When the aforementioned problem appears, the correct solution to follow is the following:
- We go to the settings menu and enter the applications tab and once there we select the tab All
- We look for the one called Media Storage and we click on it.
- We will click on Force Detection, Clear Cache and Clear Data
- We will exit the settings menu and turn off the terminal.
- We will remove the sdcard and restart in Recovery
- Wipe cache partition
- Advanced / wipe dalvik cache
- Go Back
- Reboot System now
Calm that with this we will not lose our apps or our data saved in the terminal.
Once all the apps have been restarted and updated, we will be able to insert the sdcard, and wait a while for the device to scan and create the multimedia library data cache again.
This may take up to half an hour, it all depends on the rom and version of Android that we are running, it is best to forget about the device for a while, and when we pick it up again, the problem will be solved.
