Disable automatic updates in Chrome

As you know, Google Chrome has been updating automatically for a long time, without asking us for any kind of authorization. If for any reason you want to manually update the Google browser again, today I bring you a trick to deactivate the automatic updates of Chrome incorporates. If for any reason you want to prevent this function from being used on your computer, you have to follow the following steps:

  1. Open the Registry Editor Windows. To do this, we access Run (Win + R) and write regedit.
  2. Once the application has been opened, follow the following path (if the path does not exist, you will have to create it): HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Policies \ Google \ Update
  3. When you have reached Update, create a key DWORD and call her AutoUpdateCheckPeriodMinutes.
  4. Double click on this value that you have created and, in Value information, enter a 0.
  5. Restart the browser and voila, Google Chrome will no longer update automatically.
