This app , called Chrome Remote Desktop, which allows us to remotely control our PC from our Android device, had not received an update since July 2015 .
This new version brings some interface improvements to bring it in line with the Material Design language and a new "touch mode" that creates a new way to interact with your remote desktop.
The main interface has received a higher-quality toolbar , a side menu, and a color scheme that leans more towards blue than the previous mix of green and blue. Another new feature is that computers now display whether their status has been offline for a certain period of time.
The other major change is functional, and the one that interests us most. In the previous version, when you controlled your remote desktop, you had two options on the screen: one for the keyboard and another to switch to full-screen mode. Now the app automatically switches to full-screen mode , and you have to swipe to reveal the toolbar.
It's in this toolbar where you can switch between controlling the remote desktop with a mouse or touch. The latter is new, and instead of controlling the on-screen cursor, your finger becomes a button, just like on a touchscreen. A single tap emulates the left mouse button, and using two fingers to tap the screen achieves the same effect as pressing the right mouse button.
