Catan: World Explorers is the new game from Niantic Games, the creators of Pokémon GO or Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, and who once again use the Augmented Reality template to take us to the world of the Catan saga.
You know, that board game where you can collect resources to build towns, cities and roads, and that we have in several versions for our mobiles from the Google Play Store.
As we have said, Catan: World Explorers is based on the same way of understanding a game with geolocation, the camera of our mobile and that real map that happens to be transformed into a virtual one linked to the game itself; Pokémon GO was a success at the time by being able to take many out to the streets to tour them and hunt those Pokémon.
In Catan: World Explorers, as you explore, you can go collecting wood, bricks, sand, iron and another series of materials that will help you build that recognized world of the board game. From what we can know, the materials will be abundant in one area while in another they will be scarce, so it all seems that we are going to have to walk a bit.
Or simply trade with the materials that abound in our area to get those that are scarce. Come on, like real life. Like the board game, we will have in our hand a series of cards to enhance some skills.
All road and expansion that we do will consume resources and this is where playing with friends comes in to complete those constructions and make everything easier. Catan: World Explorers has a great multiplayer component just like the rest of Niantic Games titles.
Catan: World Explorers now has pre-registration available from your web and you must enter your name, email and area where you are to be attentive to the first open beta that is released.
