El Huawei P50 Pro It is currently the most advanced mobile of the brand, being also one of the most top at the camera level, something that DxOMark has already confirmed in one of its most recent analyzes.
And it is that the new Huawei P50 Pro comes with a rear photographic system that is enviable, in which a 50 MP main sensor with f / 1.8 aperture, a 64 MP periscope lens with f / 3.5 aperture, an 8 MP wide angle with f / 2.2 aperture and a last 40 MP monochrome sensor with f / 1.6 aperture. The selfie camera, for its part, is 13 MP and has an f / 2.4 aperture, but below we will only analyze the rear photographic module and the results it is capable of offering in numerous conditions.
That's how good the Huawei P50 Pro is at the camera level

The Huawei P50 Pro has been crowned in the DxOMark ranking as the mobile with the best camera of the moment, thus surpassing the powerful Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, which has been at the top of the table almost since it came out.
And is that the camera of this mobile provides excellent still image quality in all scenarios, being one of the most reliable to capture moments with excellent level of detail. It is so much so that the results of the new Huawei P50 Pro in the tests carried out open a space among the best to date in practically all conditions, according to what DxOMark has evaluated on its website.
One of the sections in which this high-performance smartphone stands out is in the zoom (zoom) section, with a not inconsiderable mark of about 107 points, thus being one of the best in this segment, and all thanks to the captures which is capable of achieving with the optical and hybrid zoom that it has. With this, it ranks seven points above the previous leader in this category, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. In question, the image results from both the ultra-wide camera and the telephoto module are the best that DxOMark has tested so far.
Something in which the Huawei P50 Pro has not been number one is in the video section, at least not in the DxOMark ranking. In this department, the Chinese firm's phone has lagged one point behind the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, which does splendidly well in this segment, thus being the best in this sub-category, something that is mainly due to the fact that it presents better Lower noise and texture performance and results in both bright and low light conditions.

Still, the P50 Pro is still very excellent at video recording, capturing and displaying enviable results that only a top high-end can deliver. Of course, a single area of criticism is video artifacts, where some unwanted effects such as vibration, aliasing and color quantization were observed, three problems that are most noticeable at night and poor light conditions.
Now, no longer being so critical, Huawei has once again demonstrated how capable it is at the photographic level with a mobile, this time with the P50 Pro, its latest flagship. In this way, the Chinese manufacturer has positioned it as the maximum benchmark and a phone that others have to beat in terms of photos and video, something that is not easy at all.

Based on what DxOMark points out in their review, the phone has pretty good performance indoors and scenarios where lighting is not always in favor of a good photo. And it is that in this section it is almost always better than the competition, both for capturing with the camera in hand and with the camera mounted on a tripod, which is when it obtains the best results since the device is totally immobile. Of course, the dynamic range is not the best, but it ties for first place in the ranking.
Another thing in which the Huawei P50 Pro also stands out positively is in the interpretation and reproduction of color. Especially in the case of white balance, this is probably closely related to the use of the multispectral sensor, which is the 40 MP monochrome. At the same time, the autofocus system generally performs very well in all lighting conditions and at all light levels, with zero shutter lag and good focus on the lens. In general, the P50 Pro autofocus works very well, compared to other devices in the ranking.

Images captured in bokeh mode show excellent isolation of the subject and a fairly successful field blur. There are very few depth estimation errors around the foreground subject and the details are also very good, making the P50 Pro the top-ranked new smartphone for bokeh.
The Huawei P50 Pro achieves a good score in the night category, thanks to outstanding performance on all subtests. Even when the flash does not fire for portraits in auto flash mode, the images show good exposure and dynamic range. The exposure is not only good on the subject's face, but also on the background. When the flash fires (as in the photo below), the white balance and skin tones are not as pleasant as on the Huawei Mate 40 Pro +, which is the best device in the night category.
Video
The overall video score of a device is based on its performance and the results it achieves in a variety of situations. The Huawei P50 Pro achieves a video score of 116 in the DxOMark table, which summarizes that for both day and night, as well as in terms of focus, vibrations and other sections, it is an excellent option.
However, although we highlight that it is very good at night, it has a notable room for improvement in this section. Even so, there is no doubt that the Huawei P50 Pro is an example of how well the company works in photographic terms with its high-performance mobiles.
