WhatsApp continues to be renewed as the days go by, including some useful functionalities for the user and thus making the application much more complete than in its beginnings. Not long ago the team behind the development of this application updated the application including the expected Material Design, making the app much more visual and the user having a new user experience thanks to this design pack provided by Google.
If that was just a few weeks ago, today we bring you what will become the next update of the king of messaging. In this future update that will arrive on Google Play in the next few days, we will find the possibility of performing backup copies of our messages to our Google Drive account.
Although many think that WhatsApp conversations are only saved on the device, they have to know that there is also the option of being able to save these conversations on the application's servers. Well, with this new update under the build number 2.12.45, incorporates the possibility of making backup copies to our Google Drive account.
To activate this new option, we will have to enter WhatsApp Settings, then chat settings and there enter the backup option. Within this section we will find this new functionality that allows us to save conversations directly to the Google cloud. We also have the option of having the copies made manually or automatically every day, week or every month.
The update will be released to Google Play in the next few days, but for those impatient who want to try this new version, we will show you how to get it so that you can install it on your device. First we will have to enter the famous web APKMirror to download the .apk file. Once the file is downloaded, we will proceed to install the application, once the process is finished we will have the new version of WhatsApp with the possibility of making backup copies to a Google Drive account. Remember that you must have activated the option to install applications from unknown sources in order to install this new version of WhatsApp. This option can be found in Settings -> Security.
