Once again, our colleagues at WaBetaInfo have announced that WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will group mentions into a thread, making reading a chat much more convenient. As they explain in the publication, They have found references to this feature in WhatsApp beta 2.25.7.7 for Android.
And while it's true that it's not active, so you won't be able to use the thread feature in WhatsApp for now, the guys at WaBetaInfo have been able to test it to show us the interface it will have. As you can see in the image accompanying these lines, Now WhatsApp will offer you the option to see mentions in a single thread, just like on a social network.
The truth is, the idea isn't bad at all, as your WhatsApp conversations will be much more organized. Especially in large groups, where multiple comments in response to something can cause you to lose track of the original thread. And that's exactly what this feature will prevent.
So, WhatsApp is working on a feature to group and sort replies very soon. We don't know when it will arrive yet, but if the feature is already in the source code, it means the next WhatsApp beta will include this option to group mentions in a thread and make conversations more understandable.
