Meta is preparing a series of very interesting updates for Whatsapp. We have told you about the change that the design will have of the platform. And now we know that WhatsApp revolutionizes video calls with new camera filters.
Or this is what emerges from the latest leak where it has been seen that WhatsApp was rolling out an augmented reality feature for call effects and filters. Let’s get into the details.
WhatsApp video calls will improve with its new filters
To begin with, the source of the leak is the colleagues of the media WABetainfo. A portal specialized in everything related to WhatsApp and that, through the update of the beta version of WhatsApp for Android 2.24.16.7, has found new features.
Before you rush to update your app, you should know that these are functions that are not available. To begin with, it was after opening the APK of the beta version of WhatsApp for Android 2.24.20.20, which is available on the Google Play Store, when they have discovered new features.
WhatsApp is apparently working on improving camera effects. To do this, it will apply new filters with a new filter button in the camera interface. With a single tap, you will access the functions. In the image above these lines, published by WABetainfo, you will see this function in detail.
With this new button, users can quickly toggle through a variety of filters, making real-time adjustments to see how they will look. You can also smooth out your skin and other options. Additionally, Meta has also integrated the background changing feature that was previously available during video calls. Thanks to this, you can replace your background with virtual scenes or blur it completely for a more professional look.
As if that wasn't enough, the camera now also supports lighting adjustments, such as a low-light mode that brightens up dark environments, along with other options that will improve the experience on WhatsApp video calls. Of course, at the moment they are only available to some beta users. But that means that very soon it will reach everyone.
