Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi K100 Pro in China , a smartphone aimed squarely at the high-end market with a combination of a high refresh rate display, a large-capacity battery, and a next-generation processor. This model arrives to update the brand's K series, which is characterized by offering flagship-level features at a more affordable price than other companies' flagships.
The device joins the K100 family, which also includes a Pro Max variant with a larger screen and even bigger battery. However, the standard K100 Pro already offers impressive specifications, as we'll see below. Its starting price in China is around €475, making it a very competitive option in its home market.
Design and display: a 185Hz OLED
The Redmi K100 Pro features a 6,56-inch flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 185Hz refresh rate, a figure few phones can match. The panel uses M11 luminescent material, allowing it to reach a peak brightness of 4.500 nits. All of this is complemented by a metal frame design and a thickness of just 8,55mm, weighing in at 218 grams. It also boasts IP66, IP68, and IP69 water and dust resistance.

Performance and battery: power for two days
Inside, we find the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series processor , manufactured using a 3nm process, paired with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage. The battery is one of its strongest points: it boasts an 8.580 mAh capacity with 26% silicon content, allowing for up to two days of battery life with moderate use. Wired fast charging reaches 100W, while wireless charging reaches 50W. It also includes 27W wired reverse charging and 22,5W wireless reverse charging.

Camera: a 200MP main sensor
The Redmi K100 Pro's camera system is led by a 200-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization, enabling lossless image cropping for 2x and 3x zoom. It's accompanied by a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 2,5x optical zoom, as well as an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. On the front, there's a high-resolution selfie camera. The setup offers great versatility for various scenarios.
Price and availability: only in China for now
The Redmi K100 Pro has launched in China with a starting price of around €475 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version. Higher configurations cost more, but the series remains competitively priced. The K series is exclusive to the Chinese market, so an official European release is not expected. However, it is very likely that this phone will arrive in other countries under the Poco brand, as has happened with previous generations.

The Redmi K100 Pro is presented as a very complete phone, with a high refresh rate display, a massive battery, and top-tier performance. Its competitive price in China demonstrates Xiaomi's strategy of offering premium features at a reasonable cost, although rising component prices have forced some adjustments. Those interested in this device will have to wait for a possible global version under the Poco brand, which could arrive in the coming months.
