Huawei to launch a 'concept' smartphone tomorrow under its Honor brand

The term "concept" is subject to certain characteristics that allow companies to experiment with new devices. If they launch a device that's quite innovative in some aspects, and it ultimately turns out to be a complete failure, they can excuse themselves by claiming it was a "concept" phone in which they wanted to test some new design elements or a new way of understanding a different type of interaction. The Xiaomi Mi MIX is a phone that has been a success in this regard.

The Mi MIX is characterized by its 91,3 percent screen-to-body ratio and is manufactured entirely from ceramic. Now Huawei is joining the concept party, and tomorrow they have an event planned where they will unveil a new smartphone that is currently in the experimental stage, so we can start preparing for the surprises it may hold. Rumors suggest that the device could be equipped with fast charging that would allow it to reach half battery in just 5 minutes.

To avoid any conflicts between what would be their Huawei Mate 9 Pro and the Porsche Design Mate 9, since this new concept smartphone will be unique, they have used the Honor brand to launch it on the market tomorrow.

Other rumors indicate that this phone could eliminate some of the most important components of a smartphone, such as a camera and a speaker, but they would be replaced by others that would offer a different set of functionalities.

Honor has shared a teaser image on its official Weibo page suggesting that something different will arrive tomorrow. However, it could also be the Honor 6S, which was leaked earlier. What is clear, though, is that tomorrow we'll have a great surprise to discuss in several posts.
