All Google applications have hidden options that we can get much more out of than we normally do. We can also do this in one of Google's most popular apps, we are referring to Google Maps. If we make some timely adjustments, we will make The app sends us notifications to drive safely on the road. We show you how to activate those Google Maps notices. It is something very simple to do.
How to activate notices in Google Maps

What we will do specifically is activate so that the voice of Google Maps gives the real-time alerts about, for example, tolls, highways, ferries, some incident, etc.
It does not mean that the alerts will be sounding the entire route and will indicate all the steps we must follow. But what Google Maps will do is give us notices when there is a specific alert on the route.
As we said in the introduction of this post, activating notifications in Google Maps is a simple process to do. The first thing we will do is open the google maps app, whether you have iPhone or Android, since the app is available for both operating systems.
When we are inside the app, we are going to go to the top, on the right side of the screen where our profile is located. We open our profile and a menu will immediately be displayed. In this list you will see the option of Settings. We will click on this option.
Once in Settings we will go to Navigation Settings. We will enter here and among the first options we will find all the Sound and voice functions. In Voice Prompts we have Silenced, Alerts only and Sound on. While in Guide Volume we have Lowest, Normal and High. If we choose Alerts Only, it will be saved automatically and once we are en route only the alerts will be shown.
How to activate the speedometer

If we want Google Maps to show us the speed at which we are driving, we are going to click on Settings > Navigation settings. Within this option, we are going to scroll to Driving options. Here we will activate the Speedometer.
With this option activated we can know how fast we are going and if we are exceeding the speed limits. For now, there is no option for Google Maps to notify us when the limit changes or if we go over it. This option simply shows us the speed limit of each road.
How to activate speed camera warnings in Google Maps

For Google Maps to notify us of the presence of radars on the road, we first have to enter the app and go to the main screen go to the Layers section. We click on Layers and a floating window will immediately open with several options. Among them, look for the Traffic option and click on it.
Then, we go to our profile, in the upper right corner of the screen. From there, we access the Settings section and then Navigation Settings. In this part we will activate the sound option such as Play Bluetooth voice and audio prompts.
In this part, we can even test if the sound of the alerts can be heard well from the settings section. Play test sound.
There are really many things that we can do in Google Maps and that many of us do not know how to activate or get the most out of. Not only can you activate warnings in Google Maps, but you can also notify the app about incidents that have occurred on the road so that the app can alert other drivers. Learn how to do it in this post.
